We number around 25 singers, and meet weekly on Thursday evenings at the Welsh Congregational Chapel, Southwark Bridge Road, 6.30-9.00pm, during term time. Before going independent, the Chamber Choir was one of the most advanced performing groups at Morley College, the well-known adult education institute in Waterloo.
Like any choir, our core activity is learning and rehearsing music for performance to as high a standard as possible.
We aim to give every member of the choir the feeling that their personal skills improve each year, as well as ensuring that the choir as a whole develops its sound, ensemble and sense of identity.
We perform in a variety of venues around and sometimes outside London , mainly in churches. Favourite venues include Temple Church and the Raphael Gallery in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Concert soloists are often drawn from within the choir.
