Borough Chamber Choir is a small independent choir formerly attached to Morley College in Waterloo, London. We are a friendly group keen to work to a high standard, singing a wide repertoire ranging from Medieval to Contemporary. We give regular concerts – at least once a term and sometimes more.
The panorama shows the choir rehearsing Bob Hanson’s 40-part motet And there shall be no night there.
Hail and Farewell!
Our Winter Concert at St George the Martyr, Borough High Street.
Saturday 9th December at 6.00pm
Please come and join us – and please bring any friends and supporters too – at what will be our last concert with Bob Hanson as our regular conductor: almost eight years to the day since our inaugural concert, also in Borough Church.
To mark the occasion, we will be singing Bob’s arrangement of Brahms Songs . In addition, we will be performing Monteverdi’s 4-part Mass of 1641, marking the close of his 450th year. Joan Taylor will be playing Bach’s Prelude & Fugue and the The Borough Players will perform Purcell’s Fantasia in 3 Parts.
It will be an important and memorable occasion for all of us, and we would like to bring together as many people as possible to celebrate eight years of making music together, and performing in this venue.
